I, Andrew Michael, promise to use only water from natural sources and closest to where I am as much as possible. That promotes my health and a healthy planet.
I, Piper Cook, pledge to convert more co-workers and friends to “go green”. Being the green commissioner at my work, I must set and stand by the rules and create new ones to continue to expand.
I, Pat Boland, promise to greatly reduce the number of disposable products that I use, and I will encourage others to follow greener and cleaner practices.

I, Haley Ciborowski, promise to spend this weekend replacing as many lightbulbs as I can in my house with CFLs, creating a compost bin large enough for my roommates to use as well (and asking them to use it), unplugging all household appliances (and asking my roommates to do so), and have another talk with my roommates about only using nature-friendly products and recycled rear-end wipe! I, Noelle Keselica, promise to use tupperware instead of sandwich bags and plastic wrap. Also, I promise to ride my bike more to eliminate the amount of driving.
I, Oscar Pettersson, promise to not throw used tobacco (like cigaretts and chew-tobacco) on the ground. I also promise to turn off all the lights in my apartment when I leave, both for short- and long periods of time.
I, Mauricio, promise to get a bike and use it during summer as much as I can. I also promise to spread the word of this movement to my friends and co-workers. I also promise to be more cautious with my environmental footprint.
I, Boglarka Pazar, will countinue to recicle my household waste as much as possible, turn off lights when I live the room, replace the lightbulbs to energy efficient ones as the old ones die, never to litter, not drink bottled water and not leave water running while I brush my teeth and wash the dishes. And I am happy to say that I will keep on bugging the live-in boyfriend to do the same!
I also promise to do a better job of not forgetting to bringing my own reusable (not plastic) bags to the shops, keep on trying to grow my own vegetables and herbs in the garden (all those slugs made me give up this year…), try only to buy as much food as we can actually finish without it going off, to take shorter and colder showers and to use my car less (this is a difficult one…).

I promise to bring my own reusable bags to the grocery store, unplug my appliances when not in use, turn lights off when not in the room, and if in the future public transportation is no longer an option for commuting that I will purchase a hybrid vehicle.

I promise to continue to take my own (homemade!) string bags to the grocery store and shopping and, as much as possible, buy locally grown foods. I also promise to reduce my use of pre-packaged convenience foods (which, in addition to creating more waste, are outrageously expensive), recycle all my recyclable waste, turn lights out when I leave the room (and not turn them on unless I really need to), and not leave the water running when I brush my teeth, etc. Although public transportation is not readily available where I live or to get me all the places I go, I promise to use it when I can and combine trips when I have to drive.

1. I have a clothes line and do way too much laundry since i have to wash my cycling clothes so frequently. I often get lazy and throw them in the drier instead of using the clothes line. My pledge is to try and reduce the amount of energy that I use on the drier! it is sheer laziness and something that is simple to change.
2. The energy cost of food is enormous: between the energy of large scale farming from the form of machinery to the energy produced in petroleum based fertilizers and pesticides, not to mention the high costs in carbon for transporting produce from far away. I pledge to shop at the local farmers market or specifically buy locally for my primary sources of produce. more importantly- I plan on being carbon free when I go to the farmers market, as the benefits of buying local can be offset by driving an extra trip to get there!

And I am happy to say that I will keep on bugging the live-in boyfriend to do the same!

I also promise to do a better job of not forgetting to bringing my own reusable (not plastic) bags to the shops, keep on trying to grow my own vegetables and herbs in the garden (all those slugs made me give up this year…), try only to buy as much food as we can actually finish without it going off, to take shorter and colder showers and to use my car less (this is a difficult one…).

1. I have a clothes line and do way too much laundry since i have to wash my cycling clothes so frequently. I often get lazy and throw them in the drier instead of using the clothes line. My pledge is to try and reduce the amount of energy that I use on the drier! it is sheer laziness and something that is simple to change.
2. The energy cost of food is enormous: between the energy of large scale farming from the form of machinery to the energy produced in petroleum based fertilizers and pesticides, not to mention the high costs in carbon for transporting produce from far away. I pledge to shop at the local farmers market or specifically buy locally for my primary sources of produce. more importantly- I plan on being carbon free when I go to the farmers market, as the benefits of buying local can be offset by driving an extra trip to get there!
